LIGHTING TD AT DUPE VFX, LONDON

December 2021 – September 2023

  • Worked as a Lighting TD but took on a variety of other tasks. Asset USD processing/ prepping, scattering, layout, lighting and rendering in Solaris/ Houdini. Setting up master scenes for the lighting team, problem solving Solaris/ USD/ Lighting questions or issues from the team. Creating videos/ documenting workflow.

LECTURER AT CAMPUS SKELLEFTEÅ, SWEDEN

September 2017 – January 2021

  • Teacher of two online courses: ‘Computer Game Production’ and ‘Introduction to computer game creation’.

July 2016 – June 2020

  • Head 3D lecturer for modeling, lighting, surfacing, rendering courses and held recurring lectures in on-set and camera roles:
  1. Teaching principles and practices of light, materials and rendering: From pipeline and scene assembly to light matching chrome/ gray balls and compositing in Nuke.
  2. Render engines in their practical and theoretical uses, such as Arnold and RenderMan with ACES colour pipeline.
  3. Worked with guests from ILP, Goodbye Kansas, One of Us, Warner Bros. and DICE to keep the courses relevant to the industry and for student inspiration.
  • Unreal Engine and real-time 3D for game artists:
  1. Teaching assets for games: Highpoly, lowpoly, photoscanning, baking and texturing.
  2. Including final project of level creation with hero objects, foliage, lighting and a controllable mocap character.
